My recent stay at the Mandalai Hotel in Chaloklum was an absolute delight, reminding me of the serene beauty of Sri Lanka's tea plantations. Nestled right on the beach, the views were nothing short of mesmerizing, and the lovely ambience made it feel like a hidden gem. The staff were incredibly kind, helping to organize scooter rentals and even arranging a paid shuttle service that added a nice touch to our stay. We were able to explore the nearby seafood restaurants, which felt reminiscent of the simplicity of my own heritage while indulging in local flavors. The beach was just a short stroll away, perfect for a dip or simply soaking up the sun, and the tranquil environment allowed us to unwind effortlessly. With its elegant rooms and stunning sea views, I couldn't help but wish for longer stays akin to my days among the tea estates. If you’re looking for a beautiful place with attentive staff, I wholeheartedly recommend Mandalai Hotel.
